About me

About me personally: I’m loyal and caring to my friends and my family, I father like it’s the only thing that matters, and my wife and I have been with one another since I was 19 (I’m currently 48)!  I’m playful – still a child in spirit.  I’m a giver, not a taker, and coaching is my favorite vehicle for positive contribution. I have undergone deep inner work to improve my life, so I know what it takes. I invest in my own coaches –  keeping a coach by my side is non-negotiable. I’ve learned and live through optimism and true curiosity, which have allowed me to turn what used to be my struggles into opportunities for learning and growth through challenge. I am grateful for my life, and I begin each morning with a personal gratitude session.

I believe that life is what we choose to make it, and I've chosen to make my life exceptional!

About me professionally: I'm currently employed at the U.S. Federal Government as both a coach and a supervising engineer. I've been here since 2015. Prior to U.S. Government service, I practiced as a licensed professional engineer for 11 years in the private industry on public service water resources design and construction projects.  Additionally, I’ve spent 8 years supporting international and domestic water supply projects in rural communities for Engineers Without Borders, the Community Engineering Corps, and the Engineering Service Corps.

Engineering taught me curiosity, collaboration, and determination. Volunteering on international community development projects taught me empathy, listening, and the true meaning of partnership. Coaching taught me presence, the power within, and the impact of space and silence shared with another curious human being.
